Lynchburg EV Charging Station Installation
Electronic vehicles (EVs) have the nation’s attention, but the initiative could stall without many charging stations across Campbell County, Virginia, and the USA. By adding these charging stations in your parking lots, you could profit from the “trend.”
It is a fact that more drivers are using EVs than ever before. Plus, it is not only small cars, but also vans and campers are joining the fray. With car companies determined to phase out gasoline vehicles in the next couple of decades, installing an EV charging station will attract more customers to your parking lot. You and your customers would both benefit. You by their extended stay and charging fee, and them by the availability to charge their vehicle.

Along with our years of experience building parking lots and marking traffic flow arrows and parking stall lines, U.S. Pave realized the need to train some of our contractors on installing EV charging stations.
Having become proficient at installing these EV charging stations in parking lots, we now are ready to help literally pave the way into the future.
The process to upgrade a parking lot to include EV charging stations takes quite a bit of work. In order to install these charging stations, parking stalls need to be demolished to run electrical conduits underground from the electrical control panels (ECP) to the parking spaces. Then, concrete is poured to form platforms to sit the charging station on so that drivers pull right up like at a gas filling station, only it will take longer to charge. Some activities will need a new ECP, as these units use 240 volts and 32 amps to provide a faster charge. At-home stations can use a Level 1 unit with 120 volts.
Specialty Marking & Striping
Bumper blocks and curbing must be removed to facilitate the stations. The parking stall lines and new markings need to be added to symbolize each space as an EV charging station. You can choose the color scheme and markings you want for your new EV charging stations.
This could be an opportunity to do other parking lot maintenance while U.S. Pave is on-site. Save time and money while installing the charging stations. Consider sealcoating the lot or even extending your current lot to provide more stalls. It might also be a good time to add a fresh traffic flow scheme to go with your new business as an EV charging station operator.
